Our brief was to bring personality and warmth to a product many cat owners don’t think twice about, cat litter! We focused on showing real personality with real cats to connect with cat owners.
The product comes from a trusted brand with years of experience making sustainable bedding for horses and chickens. Now entering the cat market, they wanted to connect with a new audience while highlighting their sustainable values. Our goal was to reflect that heritage and care - showing the litter not just as practical, but as part of a thoughtful, sustainable lifestyle for cat owners.

Behind the Scenes
We worked with real cats in a real home to create a calm, natural atmosphere that reflected the brand’s values - sustainable, simple and no fuss. We leaned into the idea of soft, golden light to highlight their branding and logo showcasing a sun. We used a mix of natural sunlight and subtle lighting tricks to mimick a warm, late-afternoon glow throughout the shoot.
The cats themselves had a rural backstory - once feral farm cats, now living happily in a home - which made them a perfect fit for a product rooted in British farming. We used plenty of little tricks to keep them curious and comfortable such as adding catnip to the packaging and litter tray. Shooting with animals always requires flexibility, but our approach kept things real, low-pressure, and natural.
To round it off, we added motion graphics in the brands colours to highlight key product features - keeping it light, friendly, and informative without interrupting the story.
